Frances C Jones

Sara Frances Collins Jones, 95, of Auburn, Alabama passed away January 19, 2026.

She was born April 18, 1930, in Alabama, daughter of the late James Collins and the late Sara Lambert Collins.

She was a devoted homemaker who loved her family deeply, but the most important part of her life was her relationship with Jesus Christ. She and Ray made Jesus the center of their lives and their family, faithfully living out their love for Him each day. She graduated from Chilton County High School and married Ray, the love of her life, shortly after graduation, beginning a lifelong journey together rooted in faith and love.

She found joy in the simple pleasures of life-jewelry, gardening, watching game shows, cheering on the Atlanta Braves, and playing games with those she loved. Every Valentine’s Day, Ray made sure she received roses, a tradition she cherished. She loved singing, traveling, and embracing any adventure that came her way. Known for her quick wit and infectious humor, she had a special gift for making people laugh. She truly lived life to the fullest and leaves behind a legacy of faith, laughter, and love.

Surviving are her Daughter, Barbara Simpkins, Son, Gregory Ray (Kathy) Jones, Son, James Alan (Lisa) Jones, Grandson, Jeremy (Shelley) Simpkins, Granddaughter, Jayla (Cliff) Simpkins Hill, Granddaughter, Tara (Barry) Baker, Granddaughter, Gina (Jonathan) Green, Grandson, Spencer (Adele) Jones, Grandson, Denver Jones, Grandson, Chandler (Ashlyn) Jones, and 13 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, J. Ray Jones, Father, James Dudley Collins, Mother, Sara Bell Collins.

Friends will be received Sunday, January 25, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Sunday, January 25, 2026, at 2:00 pm. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with , Rev. Cade Farris, officiating.
