Sherry Faye Wyatt Willums was born and raised among six siblings in Clanton, Alabama.
She was taught the bible and raised in a loving Christian home, which went on to shape her life and the way she loved others. She graduated with honors from Chilton County High School where she received a nursing school scholarship. She then went on to graduate from nursing school at UAB in Birmingham. She worked as an RN for over 45 years, which influenced her daughter to also become an RN.
She married and had two children, Jonathan Young Snelling and Jocelyn Kelly McIntyre (with spouse Ken McIntyre); Two adored granddaughters, Natalie Faye McIntyre and Savannah Lee McIntyre.
She is recently widowed from Jim Willums, who she was married to for over 39 years and had two stepsons, Andy Willums (with wife Donna Willums with sons Andrew and Matthew) and Chris Willums (with wife Melissa Willums and son Blaise).
Sherry was known for her loyalty to her family, her strong sense of compassion, intelligence, determination, and unique problem solving abilities. Her laughter and love towards her family is what we all remember and will cherish always. She was the best Nana to her precious teen twin granddaughters, who loved them more than anything.
Friends will be received Saturday, July 22, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will be held , July 22, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow in Chilton Memorial Gardens, Clanton, Alabama.
