Shirley Traywick Jones

Shirley Traywick Jones, 84, of Jemison, Alabama passed away April 4, 2024, at Hospital Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, Alabama.

She was born May 18, 1939, in Clanton, Alabama, daughter of the late Marvin Traywick and the late Annie Cleckler Traywick.

She was a Cosmetologist for over 50 years.  She enjoyed time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Jones loved her family with all her heart.  She was a huge Alabama football fan, loved watching Fox News and President Trump.   She also loved to travel with her friends and family.

Surviving are her Granddaughter, Leighanne (Josh) Workman; Great-Grandchildren, Lincoln, Graham and Meredith James; Nieces, Debbie (Phillip) Willis, Karen (Robert) Hubbard and Lisa (Don) Olvey; Nephew, Joey Traywick; Special Friends, Vanessa and Todd Workman.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Marvin Traywick; Mother, Annie Traywick; Daughter, Stacey Cutler; Son, Rick McWhorter; Brothers, Ed Traywick, Dwight Traywick and Larry Traywick.

Friends will be received Monday, April 8, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Lomax Assembly of God, Clanton, Alabama.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, April 8, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Max Center (located behind Lomax Assembly of God) with Pastor Erron Price officiating.
