Shirley Ann Smitherman, 72, of Thorsby died Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Hospice of West Alabama, Tuscaloosa. She was born on Wednesday, August 16, 1944 in Shelby, AL, Daughter of the late R.E. Garrett and the late Alice Smitherman Garrett. She was a Homemaker. Surviving are Son, Eric (Angie Ray) Smitherman; Grandchildren, Amanda (Jeremy) Dygert, Brandon (Courtney) Adams, Brad (Rhonda) Adams, Kristin Smitherman; 4 Great-Grandchildren; Sisters, Debbie Cooedy, Judy Knox, Becky Parnell. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Lloyd Smitherman and Daughter, Diane S. Adams. Friends will be received from 10-11, Saturday, June 17, 2017 @ Martin Chapel. Services will be held Saturday, June 17, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. at Martin Chapel with Rev. Kelvin Smitherman and Bro. Jackie Patterson officiating.
