Sondra Maddox, 63, of Verbena, Alabama passed away October 27, 2023, at a local hospital.


She was born August 4, 1960, in Tennessee, daughter of the late William Sowell and  the late Annette Fendley Sowell.


She was a pre-school teacher at the Clanton First Baptist Church for 14 years. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.


Surviving are her Husband, David Wayne Maddox, Daughter, Haley Maddox (Tyler) Price, Son, D. J. (Cassie) Maddox, Granddaughter, Hannah Lynch, Grandson, Kaden Price, Granddaughter, Fendley Price, Grandson, Hudson Maddox, Granddaughter, Kinsley Maddox, Brother, John (Svetlana) Sowell, Numerous Nieces and Nephews.


She was preceded in death by her Father, William Wayne Sowell, Mother, Annette Sowell, Son, Shaun Lynch.


Friends will be received Monday, October 30, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.


Funeral services will be held Monday, October 30, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony Hughes officiating.


Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
