Stell Don Gilliland

Stell Don Gilliland, 85, of Clanton, Alabama passed away February 9, 2026, in Clanton, AL.

He was born August 14, 1940, in Chilton Co., Alabama, son of the late Stell Gilliland and the late Arah Gilliland.

He found joy on the tennis court, peace in his vegetable garden, and his greatest happiness in life was spent with his family, particularly his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are his Daughter, Shannon Miller; Son, Shane (Kelly) Gilliland; Granddaughters, Tilby (Logan) Gaskin, Tressa (Parker McCullough) Miller; Grandson, Joseph Gilliland; Great-Granddaughters, Lacie Gaskin, Ava McCullough; Sisters, Carolyn Popwell, Virginia Littlefield, Ann Sharpless.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Stell & Arah Mae Gilliland; Brothers, Gene Gilliland, Jerry Gilliland; Sisters, Marilyn Popwell, Pam Bush.

Friends will be received Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Walnut Creek Methodist Church.

Services will be held Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 2:00 pm. at Walnut Creek Methodist Church with Rev. Tony Hughes officiating.

Interment will follow in Walnut Creek Methodist Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
