Stonewall "Stoney" Jackson, 85, of Birmingham died Tuesday, November 29, 2011 in Birmingham. He was born on Saturday, November 20, 1926 in Georgia, Son of the late Andrew Jackson and the late Rosie Vines Jackson. He was a retired Pipe Liner with Southern Natural Gas Corp. Surviving are Wife, Beth Jackson of Birmingham, AL; Son, David (Mitzi) Jackson of Birmingham, AL; Daughter, Vanessa Jackson of Birmingham, AL; Grandson, Davey (LeAnn) Jackson; Granddaughter, Susie Jackson (Michael) Randall; 4 Great Grandchildren, Jackson Randall, Mallory Jackson, Owen Randall & Austin Randall; 4 Sisters, Creola Bierley, Lorene Williams, Weston Long & Eloise Mims. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Mr. & Mrs. Andrew Jackson; and 2 Brothers, Olen and Jack Jackson. Friends will be received from 6-8, Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Thursday, December 1, 2011, at 2:00 pm. at Collins Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. James Long officiating. Interment will follow in Collins Chapel Cemetery, Thorsby, AL. Donations may be made to to Collins Chapel Cemetery Fund.
