Susan Margaret Curlee

Susan Margaret Curlee, 77, of Alabaster, Alabama passed away August 16, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born November 24, 1945, in Troy, Alabama, daughter of the late Edgar Earl Whitehurst and the late Margaret Law Whitehurst.

She was a devoted wife of 58 years, mother, homemaker, hairdresser, and a clerk with the State of Alabama. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in

various capacities.

Surviving are her Husband, W. Allen Curlee; Daughter, Christi (Joey) Colquett; Sons, Craig (Brooke) Curlee and Casey (Brittney) Curlee; Grandchildren, Darby (John) Gilbert, Claire Colquett, Tyler (Skyler) Curlee, Ashleigh Curlee, Emily Curlee, Austin Curlee, Owen Curlee and Aaron Curlee; Great-Granddaughters, Caroline Gilbert, Natalie Gilbert and Clara Ellen Curlee; Great-Grandson, Gratton "Buzz" Curlee; an aunt, uncle and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her Mother, Margaret Law Whitehurst; Father, Edgar Earl Whitehurst; Brother, William "Billy" Henry Miller, Jr.; and several aunts and uncles.

Friends will be received Saturday, August 19, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop James Robison officiating.

Private Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
