Teddy Jay Walters, 76 of Chiefland, passed away October 28, 2014 at home with his family at his side. Mr. Walters was born in Sullivan, Indiana. He served during the Vietnam War Era in the US Navy. He was a member of the VFW. He moved to Chiefland from Jacksonville in 1997. He was a member of Long Pond Baptist Church. Mr. Walters enjoyed fishing, traveling to other places, his church family and hymns. Teddy leaves behind his loving family, his wife Eunice Lamb Walters, his children, Brian and Carol Walters, Bradley J. Walters, Nancy and Steve Otte, Linda and Timmy Kirby, Rustie and Dwayne Pendergrass, Pattye and Wes Gardner, sisters Nancy Sue Ammerman, Rose A. Walters, a brother Thomas Walters, Grandchildren, Alyssa, Lydia, and Daniel, Nine great grandchildren. Mr. Walters was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Beverly Walters and a wife, Paula Ann Walters. Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m., Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday, November 1, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Chapel. Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery, Clanton. Martin Funeral Home directing.
