Terry "Dude" Glenn Smith

Rev. Terry Glenn "Dude" Smith, 75, of Maplesville, Alabama passed away July 3, 2026, at his residence. He was born February 6, 1951, in Alabama, son of the late Wilford J. Smith and Virginia Ruth Smith McAfee.

Throughout his 75 years, Terry embraced life with a spirit uniquely his own. Affectionately known by many as "Dude," he touched countless lives with his presence, forming bonds of friendship and kinship that stood the test of time. He was a Pastor for 40 years and worked  for Kimberly Clark Paper Corporation as a forester for seventeen years. Terry was a big turkey hunter and an obsessed Auburn Football fan.

Surviving are his Wife of 52 years, Pam Joyce Smith; Son-in-Law, Charles Farrish Lambert; Daughter-in-law, Amber Nicole Smith; Grandchildren, John Collins Smith, Oliver Gideon Smith, Christopher Landon Lambert; Brothers, Gary Smith, Perry Smith; Mother, Virginia McAfee; Host of Nieces, Nephews, and Friends.

He was preceded in death by his Daughter, Lesley Dee Lambert; Son, Wesley Glenn Smith; Father, Wilford Junior Smith; Step-Father, Alton Dean McAfee.

Friends will be received Wednesday, July 8, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Ashby Baptist Church, Brierfield, Alabama.

Services will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Ashby Baptist Church with Rev. Shannon Allen and Rev. Wade Wallace officiating.

Interment will follow in Shady Grove Baptist Cemetery, Randolph, Alabama.
