Thomas "Tom" Lamar Smith, 86, of Clanton died Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Bibb County Nursing Home, Centreville. He was born on Saturday, April 4, 1931 in Chilton Co., AL, son of the late William Lee Smith and the late Minnie Mims Smith. He was a farmer. Surviving are his Wife, Mrs. Marlene B. Smith of Clanton, AL; Son, Mr. Greg (Rita) Smith; Daughter, Mrs. Vivian (Mike) Satterwhite; Grandson, Mr. Jeremy (Leanne) Smith; Sisters, Mrs. Maude Hayes, Mrs. Henrietta Cobb. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Lee & Minnie Smith. Friends will be received from 1-2 p.m., Friday, January 19, 2018 at Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Friday, January 19, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Martin Chapel with Mr. Henry Clay officiating. Interment will follow in Thorsby Memorial Cemetery, Thorsby, Alabama.
