Thomas Dale Lenoir, 84, of Clanton, Alabama entered into glory on August 25, 2025.

Dale was born January 21,1941 in Chilton County, Alabama to T. F. ( Jack ) and Mavis Maxine Oden Lenoir. He was a 1959 graduate of Isabella High School and attended The University of Montevallo. Dale worked 35 years with The Alabama Department of Transportation in the Interstate Bureau and then the Design Bureau, retiring August, 1998. Afterwards, he worked with Day Wilburn Associates, an Engineering firm from Atlanta, opened an office in Alabama, and fully retired in 2008.

Dale was very active in Clanton First Methodist Church. He served in various capacities including Chairman of the Administrative Board, President of the Methodist Men's Club, Sunday School Teacher and a charter member of the Aldersgate Sunday School Class.

During the 1970s, Dale served as president and coach of Clanton Youth Football and Dixie Youth Baseball. He also helped form the Clanton Dixie Majors Baseball League for boys age 15 through 18. He proudly served as president of the Chilton County High School Athletic Club in the mid 1980s.

From 2004-2018, Dale actively supported his grandson's athletic endeavors for baseball and football. He and Willie were their biggest fans.

Dale was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. Over the years he has traveled from Canada to Argentina to do so. He championed conservation efforts for forest and wildlife and loved introducing young people to the great outdoor experience.

Dale is preceded in death by his parents, T. F. ( Jack ) and Maxine Lenoir, wife, Willie Hancock Lenoir, son, Lance Lenoir, and sister Linda S. Lenoir Faulkner.

He is survived by son Thomas Dale ( Tommy ) ( Suzanne ) Lenoir Jr.; grandsons, Phillip (Anna) Lenoir, Will (Kelson) Lenoir; future great-grandson Jax William Lenoir and brother, Kenneth Lenoir.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, August 28, 2025. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. with service following at First Methodist Church on 8th Street North in Clanton. Interment will be at Liberty Hill Baptist Church. Rev. Wes Kelley and Rev.Kenny Lenoir officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Clanton First Methodist Church, 207 8th Street North, Clanton, AL 35045 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
