Thomas Gerald Pate

Thomas Gerald Pate died at A.G. Rhodes of Cobb on May 11, 2016. He was the son of Evie Irene Varden Pate and Lester Middleton Pate and was born on June 26, 1940 in Jemison, Chilton County, Alabama. He was a 1961 graduate of Jemison High School and attended Alabama Christian College. He was an avid reader and spent much of his time listening to books on tape. Although a native of Alabama, he had lived in Oxford and Wildwood, Florida, and in Atlanta, Georgia since 1995. He is survived by Velera Nell Pate (sister), James Lester Pate (brother), Debra Sue Pate (niece), Laura Katrine Pate (niece), Arthur Kenneth Womble (nephew), Teresa Kominos (niece-in-law), and Lucas Franco Womble (great nephew). He was be buried in Pine Hill Cemetery in Jemison, Alabama, Friday, May 13, 2016. Martin Funeral Home directing.
