Vera Nell Cleckley

Vera Nell Cleckley, 90, of Clanton, Alabama passed away January 18, 2023, at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama.

She was born March 1, 1932 in Alabama, daughter of the late Albert Thompson and the late Gracie Thompson.

She was a Clerk with City Hall.

Surviving are her Granddaughter, Michelle (Steve) Patterson; Granddaughter, Belinda Hammock; 4 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great Great Grandchildren, Brother, Howard Thompson.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Albert E. Thompson; Mother, Gracie Thompson; Husband, Elbert Cleckley; Son, Edwin Eugene Cleckley; Grand Son-in-law, David Hammock; Sister, Eunice Headley; Brother, James Thompson; Sister, Myrtice Burnette.

Friends will be received Monday, January 23, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Monday, January 23, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Thurmon Clecker officiating.

Interment will follow in Pinedale Assembly of God Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
