Virgil Ralph Hughes, 90, of Prattville died Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Cedar Ridge VA Home, Clanton. He was born on Friday, March 28, 1924 in Rockford, AL, Son of the late Virgil Jackson Hughes and the late Pearl Smith Hughes. He was a Field Technician for Soil Conservation Service. Also, a WWII veteran. Surviving are Wife, Frances P. Hughes of Prattville, AL; Son, Ralph "Sonny" (Lisa) Hughes of Prattville, AL; Granddaughters, Kathryn Hughes of Prattville, AL, Lauren Hughes of Prattville, AL. Friends will be received from 6-8, Saturday, March 21, 2015 @ Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Sunday, March 22, 2015, at 2:00 P.M. at Indian Grave Baptist with Rev. Tim Scarborough officiating. Interment will follow in Indian Grave Cemetery, Billingsley, AL. Martin Funeral Home directing.
