Virginia Mewborn COLE, 74, of Maplesville died Sunday, December 27, 2009 at her residence. She was born on Wednesday, March 13, 1935 in Jefferson Co., AL, Daughter of the late William Herman Mewborn and the late Inez Salter Mewborn. She was a Nurse. Surviving are her Daughter, Gina Lynn (Glen) Riley of Maplesville, AL; Daughter-in-Law, Nena Cole of Jemison, AL; 2 Grandsons, David Cole Riley of Maplesville, AL, William Carson Riley of Maplesville, AL; Granddaughter, Heather Rene Cole of Jemison, AL; 2 Brothers, Tommy Mewborn of Sterrett, AL, Ronnie Mewborn of Jackson, TN; Former Husband, Alton Cole of Maplesville, AL. She was preceded in death by her Son, William Gregory Cole. Friends will be received from 5-8, Tuesday, December 29, 2009 @ Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2009, at 2:00 PM. at Maplesville Baptist Church with Rev. Ty Parten and Rev. Dennis Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Maplesville, AL. Martin Funeral Home directing.
