Virginia Elsie HAND, 82, of Clanton died Sunday, August 9, 2009 at her residence. She was born on Wednesday, October 6, 1926 in Sylacauga, Alabama, Daughter of the late George Dewey Smith and the late Winnie R. Hay . She was a Homemaker. Surviving are her Husband, Norman Hand of Clanton, AL; Daughter, Sandra (Rev. Charles) Beard of Clanton, AL; 2 Sons, Michael (Connie) Hand of Cape Coral, FL, Wendell (Janet) Hand of Verbena, AL; 15 Grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; Brother-in-law, Jack Meek of Clanton, AL. She was preceded in death by his Son, Tony Hand. Friends will be received from 5-8, Tuesday, August 11, 2009 @ West End Baptist Church. Services will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2009, at 11:00AM. at West End Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Smitherman and Rev. Charles Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Creek Cemetery.
