Rev. W. L. Adams, 71, of Clanton was welcomed into the kingdom of heaven on Friday, August 7, 2015. He was born on Monday, October 25, 1943 in Chilton Co., AL, Son of the late Lummie Columbus Adams and the late Gertie Mae Headley Adams. W.L. served as beloved preacher for 42 years and the pastor of Marbury Church of God for 32 years. He was a self employed brick mason by trade. Surviving are Wife, Barbara Adams of Clanton, AL; Sons, Roger (Pam) Adams of Clanton, AL, Dwayne (Melinda) Adams of Clanton, AL; Daughter, Tammy (late Boyd) Littleton of Jemison, AL; Grandchildren, Candace (Elzie) Green of Clanton, AL, Andrea (Charles) Cain of Clanton, AL, Shane (Hannah) Adams of Clanton, AL, Justin (Jessica) Adams of Clanton, AL, Travis Adams of Clanton, AL, Haley (Caleb) Hollis of Jemison, AL; Great-Grandchildren, Gabriel Kelley, Blaire Adams, Elizabeth Cain; Special Nephew, James (Patty) Browning & Family; Brothers, Winston (Carolyn) Adams of Wetumpka, AL, Wayne (Nell) Adams of Clanton, AL, Jerry (Lucille) Adams of Clanton, AL; Sister, Euna (Edward) Farris of Thorsby, AL; A Host of Nieces & Nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Lummie Adams & Gertie Mae Headley Adams, Brother, Terry Adams and Son-in-Law, Boyd Littleton. Friends will be received from 5-8, Saturday, August 8, 2015 @ Glad Tidings Church of God. Services will be held Sunday, August 9, 2015, at 2:00 P.M. at Glad Tidings Church of God with Rev. Odell Bryant and Rev. Harlen Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Glad Tidings Cemetery, Clanton, AL. Martin Funeral Home directing.
