Wayne Cleckler, born March 25, 1948, passed away on June 26, 2026 leaving behind a legacy of faith, service and love for his family and community.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents Dewey and Lucille Cleckler, his son Daniel Cleckler and his siblings Alice Mae and Ricky.

He is survived by his children Jennifer, Dylan and his wife Heather and his grandchildren Deacon, Torey and Jacob and his great grandson Tyler.

He is also survived by his wife Bonnie and her children Meagan Howell, Jennifer Striegel and Casey Johnson and Grandchildren Kylie, McKinley, Abby and Lennon.

He is survived by siblings Oneal, Dillard and Inez and a special devoted friend, Roger Willis.

Wayne faithfully served his country for 20 years in the Army National Guard before retiring. He also was called to become a Pastor and dedicated much of his life to sharing God’s word.

Wayne was the proud owner of Maplesville Supermarket where he served his community with dedication and hard work. He was well known and loved by his customers and formed lasting friendships through his kindness and respect. He welcomed everyone with a smile and never met a stranger.

Above all, Wayne was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and friend. He will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his warm smile and his love for those around him. His legacy will continue through the lives he touched and the family he loved so deeply.
