Welby Colyn Cooper, 71, of Clanton, Alabama passed away January 14, 2021 at his residence. He was born October 21, 1949 in Clanton, Alabama, son of the late Welby Cooper and the late Annie Cooper. He was a Automotive Instructor with LeCroy Technical School and Mechanic with Stokes Automotive. Surviving are his Wife, Sherry Stroud Cooper; Daughter, Jennifer (Hadden, IV) Smith; Daughter, Sheri Lynn (Nick) Turner; Grandson, Hadden Smith, V; Granddaughter, Katelyn Smith; Granddaughter, Natalee Turner; Grandson, Bryson Turner; Sister, Linda Blankenship; Sister, Carolyn (Wilbur) Glenn; Sister, Christie (Ronnie) Childress. He was preceded in death by His Father, Welby Cooper; Mother, Annie Cooper; Brother, Fred Cooper. Friends will be received Sunday, January 17, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Liberty Hill Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, January 17, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Liberty Hill Baptist Church with Kent Dodson officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Hill Baptist Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama. Pallbearers will be Bryan Glenn, David Walsh, Roger Scott, Terry Scott, Dylan Wallace, Ralph Wilson, Bruce Hutton, and Greg Pike.
