Wendy Ann Whitaker

Wendy Ann Kelley Whitaker, 75, of Clanton, Alabama passed away Saturday, February 15, 2020. She was born June 6, 1944 in Wishbech, Cambridgeshire, England. She came to America at the age of 2 by boat. Wendy attended college on a Rifleman's scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing. She didicated 52 years of her life to being a Registered Nurse. She was known well for her feisty attitude and humorous outlook on life. She was a grand storyteller and world traveler. She was loved by family, friends, and all that knew her. Wendy wanted to be returned to the place she loved the most, The Big Horn Mountains in Wyoming. Surviving are her Children, Adrienne Michelle Drew (Curtis) of Montgomery, AL, Wesley Whitaker of Midwest City, OK; Grandchildren, Sarah Wooldridge of Clanton, AL, Jazmine Wallin (Johnny) of Centreville, Haley Whitaker, Carson Whitaker, Megan Whitaker of Midwest City, OK, Dylan Flood (Kristen) of St. Peters, MO; Great-Grandchildren, Madeline Johnson, Jaxon Woods, Emma Grace Wallin, Robert Wallin, Lucas Flood. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Clingman and Audrey "Joan Sales" Kelley; brother, Ray Kelley. Friends will be received Sunday, February 23, 2020 from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
