Wilbur Glenn Ellison

Wilbur Glenn Ellison, 71, of Clanton passed away Friday, August 2, 2013 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster. He was born on Tuesday, July 28, 1942 in Chilton Co., Alabama, Son of the late Thomas Jefferson Ellison and the late Lurla Mae Sammons Ellison. He was a retired foreman in building construction. Surviving is his wife, Myra Robinson Ellison; Son, Chad Ellison of Clanton, AL; 2 Daughters, Ginger E. Ricks and Shelley E. Minor, both of Clanton, AL; Like a Son, Johnny Carter of Ft. Campbell, KY; 4 Grandchildren & 1 Great Granddaughter; Brother, Jerry Ellison of Trussville, AL; Sister, Jean Almaroad of Jemison, AL; Sister, Wanda Wilkins of Clanton, and a special Nephew, Greg Woodfin. He was preceded in death by: his Parents, T. J. & Lurla Ellison; Brother, Pete Ellison; Brother, Kenneth Ellison; Brother, Sammy Ray Ellison; and Sister, Vernell Ellison. Friends will be received from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home Chapel prior to the funeral service. Services will be held Sunday, August 4, 2013, at 2:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Matt DeBord officiating. Entombment will follow at the Martin Mausoleum, Clanton, Alabama.
