Willar "Granny" Jean DAVENPORT, 72, of Clanton died Thursday, November 27, 2008 at her residence. She was born on Wednesday, July 8, 1936 in Chilton Co., AL, Daughter of the late Ernest E. Davenport and the late Essie Faye Shaw Davenport. She was a Homemaker. Surviving are her 3 Daughters, Pam (Loren) Simmons of Clanton, AL, Ruby (Milton) Varden of Clanton, AL, Heather (Freddy) Jones of Cumberland City, TN; 3 Sons, Billy (Tammy) Davenport of Clanton, AL, Roger Davenport of Clanton, AL, Jeremy (Ramona) Davenport of Clarksville , TN; 18 Grandchildren, 34 Great Grandchildren, A Host of Nieces & Nephews, Adopted children & Grandchildren; 2 Sisters, Minnie Mae Childress of Thorsby, AL, Mary Ann Rollins of Spanish Fort, AL; 2 Brothers, Charlie Davenport of Maplesville, AL, Junior Davenport of Clanton, AL. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Clyde Davenport, 2 Sons, Tommy & Eddie Davenport, 2 Grandsons, Jerry & Terry Mims, Father, Ernest E. Davenport, Mother, Essie Faye Shaw Davenport, 3 Sisters and 2 Brothers.. Friends will be received after 5:00 PM, Saturday, November 29, 2008 @ 788 Co. Rd. 948, Clanton, AL. Services will be held Sunday, November 30, 2008, at 1:00 PM. at Mt. Carmel Baptist #1 with Rev. Randy Langston, Rev. Rusty Jones and Rev. Robert Sandifer officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Baptist #1 Cemetery . Martin Funeral Home directing.
