William Carl Childress

William Carl Childress, 69, of Thorsby, Alabama passed away June 8, 2024, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

He was born September 20, 1954, in Chilton County, Alabama, son of the late Robert Childress and the late Evie Childress.

He was in construction as a sheetrock installer.

Surviving are his Granddaughter, Cheyenne (Elias) Escareno, Granddaughter, Chaley (Riley) Bray, Granddaughter, Channah Cleckley, Great-Grandson, Elias Escareno, Jr., Sister, Sue Dutton.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Robert Lee Childress, Mother, Evie Childress, Wife, Donna Childress, Daughter, Tiffany Cleckley, Daughter, Trinity Childress, Brother, Ted Childress,  and Brother, Lymon Childress.

Friends will be received Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm at Mt Carmel Baptist Church #1.

Services will be held Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 3:30 pm. at Mt Carmel Baptist Church #1 with Rev. Billy Wyatt officiating.

Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel #1 Baptist Cemetery, Thorsby, Alabama.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the American Cancer Society. If sending flowers please do pot plants or silk arrangements.
