William "Bill" Earl Reid, 90, of Orange Beach, Alabama passed away July 11, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born July 30, 1935, in Alabama, son of the late Emmett Reid and the late Laverta Reid.

He devoted twenty distinguished years to the United States Air Force, rising to the rank of major. As a medical supply officer, he played a vital role in supporting his fellow service members, combining organizational skill with steadfast reliability. He loved God, his family, and Alabama football! He actually loved any sport that Alabama was playing in. He had a business degree from UA and bled Crimson and White. He also dedicated many years of his life as an insurance agent.

Surviving are his Wife, Louise Reid; Daughter, Grace (Timothy) Scarberry; Granddaughter, Cindy (Ross) Fruge; Grandson, Will (Meghan) Moore; Great-Grandchildren, Leo Moore, Asher Fruge, Allie Grace Fruge, Makenna Moore, Goldie Fruge.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Emmett & Laverta Reid.

Friends will be received Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will in Martin Memorial Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
