William Richard Hayes, 77, of Stanton, Alabama passed away January 3, 2020 at his residence in Stanton, Alabama. He was born August 18, 1942 in Alabama, and is the son of the late Emmett and the late Levadie Hayes. He was a Track Repairman At Norfolk Southern Railroad. Surviving are his Daughters, Joyce H. (Angela) Wells, Eileen (Steven) Bradley, and Jennifer (Jim) Higginbotham; Son, Donnie (Bayne) Hayes; Brothers, Robert (Nelda) Hayes and Emmett (Earnestine) Hayes; Sisters, Eleanor Smith and Linda (Robert) Atcheson; Eight Grandchildren, Three Great-Greatchildren and Numerous Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his Father, Emmett H. Hayes, Sr.; Mother, Levadie Burt Hayes; Wife, Sandra A. Hayes; Son, William R. Hayes, Jr.; Granddaughter, Shandi K. Jones. Friends will be received Monday, January 6, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Stanton Bible Methodist Church in Stanton, Alabama. Services will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Stanton Bible Methodist Church with John Ingram officiating. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery, Stanton, Alabama.
