William Robert "Bill" MIMS, 77, of Jemison died Monday, September 15, 2008 at his residence. He was born on Sunday, January 11, 1931 in Chilton Co., Alabama, Son of the late Andrew Mims and the late Nora Connell Mims. He was a Linotype Operator. Surviving are his 4 Daughters, Mrs. Linda Dennis of Jemison, AL, Mrs. Gail (Randall) Melton of Jemison, AL, Mrs. Peggy (Ted) Kennedy of Thorsby, AL, Mrs. Theresa "Micki" (Kenny) Posey of Maplesville, AL; 4 grandsons, 5 great-grandsons, 7 great-granddaughters; 2 Brothers, Mr. Nathan Mims of Clanton, AL, Mr. Kenneth Mims of Clanton, AL; 2 Sisters, Mrs. Ruth Kate Parr of Thorsby, AL, Mrs. Nancy Jones of Jemison, AL. He was preceded in death by: Wives, Ann Mims & Delene Mims and Daughter, Connie Nelson. Friends will be received from 5-8, Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Wednesday, September 17, 2008, at 1:00PM. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randall Melton and Rev. Randall Mims officiating. Interment will follow in Refuge Baptist Cemetery, Clanton, AL. Martin Funeral Home directing.
