William Earl WILSON, 81, of Thorsby died Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster . He was born on Sunday, July 17, 1927 in Birmingham, AL, Son of the late Euriah Wilson and the late Inez Cotton Wilson. He retired as Police Captain with the Birmingham Police Department after 31 years. He was also a counselor for Shelby-Chilton Mental Health for 6 years. Surviving are his Wife, Maxine C. Wilson of Thorsby, AL; 3 Sons, William L. (Janice) Wilson of Adamsville, AL, Robert E. Wilson of Tallahassee, FL, Max A. (Kim) Wilson of Hohenwald, TN; 5 Grandsons, Galen C. (Amy) Wilson of Hueytown, AL, Daniel L. (Tasha) Wilson of Loxley, AL, Robert E. "Robby" Wilson, Jr. of Tallahassee, FL, Alex Wilson of Las Vegas, NV, Delbert Wilson of Hohenwald, TN; Great-Grandson, Nolan C. Wilson of Hueytown, AL. Friends will be received from 10-11, Saturday, March 21, 2009 @ Thorsby Memorial Cemetery. Graveside Services will be held Saturday, March 21, 2009, at 11:00 AM. at Thorsby Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Von McQueen officiating. No Flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.
