Willie James SANSOM, 65, of Thorsby died Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster. He was born on Wednesday, April 26, 1944 in Chilton Co., AL, Son of Willie Clyde Sansom and the late Minnie Pearl Driver Sansom. He was a General Laborer with the City of Clanton Water Department. Surviving are his Wife, Cheryl Sansom of Thorsby, AL; 2 Daughters, Amanda Turner of Thorsby, AL, Teresa Evans of Thorsby, AL; Step-daughter, Tricia Foster of Thorsby, AL; Step-son, Lynn Beard of Brownwood, TX; 10 Grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren; Father, Willie Clyde Sansom of Thorsby, AL; 2 Brothers, Harold Sansom of Clanton, AL, Mickey Sansom of Clanton, AL. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Minnie Pearl Sansom and Brother, Donald Sansom. Friends will be received from 5-8, Friday, August 14, 2009 @ Clanton Church of God. Services will be held Saturday, August 15, 2009, at 2:00 PM. at Clanton Church of God with Rev. Billy Boatwright and Rev. Harlon Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery, Clanton, AL 35045. Martin Funeral Home directing.
