Willie Lee Smith, 82, of Jemison, Alabama passed away peacefully with family by his side on September 29, 2023, at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, AL.
He was born February 10, 1941, in Clanton, Alabama, son of the late Lloyd Smith and the late Clara Smith.
He was a Steel Worker at US Steel for 35 years. He loved Alabama Crimson Tide football. He was a member at Mars Hill Baptist Church.
Surviving are his Sons, Ricky (Leslie) Smith, Kevin Smith; 7 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren; Sister, Betty Whatley; Brothers, Bill (Glenda) Smith, Larry (Tammy) Smith.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Lloyd Smith; Mother, Clara Smith; Wife, Elaine Smith; Son, Tim Smith; Brothers, Curtis Smith, Edward Smith.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 5th, 2023 at 6:00 pm at Jemison First Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Thursday at Jemison First Baptist Church.
